Richmond Hill, Ontario
Located north of Toronto, in the York Region, Richmond Hill is a city that has some interesting aspects. For starters, you can walk the quaint historic streets. Speaking of streets, you can’t drive down a street in Richmond Hill without seeing landscaped front yards. This city is home to gorgeous suburbs, as well as wonderful picturesque nature walks and parks.
Not only is this one of the friendliest Canadian towns, but it is also among the fastest-growing. Young families are coming from all over to take up residence in this laid back atmosphere. The proximity of it to Toronto makes it a convenient place to live. It is also popular for retirees wanting to live out the rest of their life in peace and quiet. But city life is still dynamic enough to attract professionals. Though it was incorporated during the 1870s, it didn’t actually become recognized as a city till March of 2019. It went to a township from a village, then became a city. Located in Richmond Hill is the largest optical telescope in Canada, found at The David Dunlap Observatory. While the stargazing is still just as gorgeous from your own deck, the observatory brings the stars in for a closer view. Richmond Hill is by far one of the best cities to see the stars at night. The next best thing would be to drive out into the countryside and see the raw night sky. Nothing like a beautiful night to make a peaceful town more appealing.
