Vaughan, Ontario
Vaughan is considered one of the quickest growing cities in Ontario, Canada. Though it is basically a large city made up of suburbs, it is still considered a city—one with a history that dates back to 1972. Even with history, it’s growth didn’t really begin till 1991. This was when the city was truly put on the map. There is plenty of things to do that make this city worth visiting. For starters, it is the home of Canada’s Wonderland. This isn’t just the most visited attraction in the city, it is also the largest amusement park in the country. This 14,316,000 sq. foot park is divided up into 6 sections. One of these sections is a waterpark, about 861,112 sq. feet. The waterpark also caters to kids with a designated area for them to swim and ride different rides that are designed to appeal to all ages. However, this part is most known for the 15 thrilling rollercoasters, such as Leviathan, which has a max drop of 305 feet.
Though this park has over 200 attractions, it isn’t the only thing that makes Vaughan special. The history is vast. This city contributed to the Canadian army significantly, as it was home to many loyalist soldiers that fought American Rebels. Vaughan residents could find some of their best men in the Boer War, First and Second World War. They have been a vital contribution to the country of Canada. The quality of life in this town is wonderful, according to 97% of the current residents.
